Terms of Service

Effective date: 28 March 2026

1. About this service

Koinic Studio is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom. We provide a facial biometric analysis service: you upload photos of your face, and we send you a written analysis report by email.

By placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Contact: koinicstudio@gmail.com

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By submitting an order, you confirm that you are 18 or over.

You must only submit photos of yourself. Submitting photos of another person without their explicit consent is not permitted.

3. What the service includes

Your order includes:

  • Analysis of your submitted photos using automated facial landmark detection.
  • A written report covering up to seven sections: executive summary, cephalometric proportions, orbital assessment, midface assessment, lower third assessment, dermatological assessment, and an optimisation protocol.
  • Delivery of that report to your email address within 48 hours of photo submission.

Additional photo angles (side profile, 45°, skin close-up) are optional. Providing them improves the depth of analysis but is not required.

4. Your photos are deleted on delivery

Your uploaded photos are permanently deleted as soon as your report is delivered. We do not retain copies in any storage system after that point.

During the analysis process, your photos are held temporarily in secure cloud storage (Vercel Blob). Once the report email is sent, they are immediately and irreversibly removed.

We cannot retrieve your photos after deletion. If you need to re-submit for any reason (e.g., a refund dispute or a reanalysis request), you will need to upload them again.

5. Payment

Payment is a one-time charge, processed securely via Stripe. The price is displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.

We do not store your card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe in accordance with their own terms and PCI-DSS compliance standards.

Where available, instalment payment options may be offered at checkout. These are provided by third-party providers (such as Klarna) subject to their own terms.

6. Refunds

We will issue a full refund if:

  • We are unable to process your photos (e.g., landmark detection fails on all submitted images) and you cannot or do not wish to resubmit.
  • Your report is not delivered within 48 hours of photo submission through no fault of your own.

We do not offer refunds once your report has been successfully delivered, as the service has been fully performed at that point. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

To request a refund, email koinicstudio@gmail.com with your order details.

Right to cancel (UK consumers): Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service order. However, by submitting your photos and requesting analysis, you agree that performance of the service begins immediately, and you acknowledge that your right to cancel is lost once the report has been delivered.

7. Photo requirements

For the analysis to work correctly, please submit photos that are:

  • Clear and in focus, with good lighting.
  • JPEG, PNG, or WEBP format, maximum 10MB per file.
  • Unobstructed — no sunglasses, heavy filters, or significant cropping of the face.
  • Recent — ideally taken within the last 12 months.

If your photos cannot be processed, we will contact you to request replacements. If we remain unable to process them after a second submission, we will issue a full refund.

8. This is not medical advice

The analysis report is based on 2D photograph measurements. It is subject to limitations including lighting conditions, lens distortion, and the inherent constraints of 2D imaging.

The report is not a medical diagnosis, a clinical assessment, or professional medical advice. It should not be used as a substitute for consultation with a qualified medical professional, dermatologist, or surgeon.

Any clinical interventions referenced in the Optimisation Protocol section are listed for informational purposes only. You should consult a qualified practitioner before pursuing any cosmetic or medical procedure.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit photos of another person without their explicit consent.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract the underlying AI models or methodology.
  • Resell or redistribute your report without our written permission.

10. Intellectual property

Your report is generated for your personal use. You own the content of your report.

The methodology, software, system prompts, and website content are owned by Koinic Studio. You may not copy or redistribute them.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Koinic Studio's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from your use of the report, including any decisions made based on its contents.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws in your country provide you with greater rights.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
